Heroes Don't Always Win
But They Always Strive For Their Own Strength

“Wha...what do you mean that he could loose all his memories?” asked All Might utterly shocked “To be entirely honest that possibility was always there, and, in spite of what history might say, time really has no bearing on it.” Minnie began “You see there have been more then one Seed Of Potential, in fact there have been hundreds, thousands even, each one having heart and soul, each one with it own personality.

“Some are kind, but there are some the that can be very cruel and there is no way to tell what kind of seed is inside Midoriya.” She finished “Is there a way to wake him up?” asked Nedzu “No, all we can do is wait, and hope that he either passes or that this seed is kind.”

Inside Izuku's Head

“Wha...what...what do you mean?” asked Izuku “Your test isn't really a test, it's a choose.” said Seed “You can choose to keep One For All, and all of your memories of All Might. Of meeting him face to face, of his belief in you, and of becoming his successor, but the price is your memories of Minnie. Of a woman so kind and caring, of someone who became family, a second mother, as well as the only one who believed you could do anything without a Quirk.”

“Now option two is vise-versa. I will unlock the power inside of you, and let you remember Minnie, but the price will be your memories of All Might, you'll remember that hes your teacher, but that's about it, and I'm only giving you that much so it isn't weird, when you wake up. So Izuku, who do you value more, your second mother, or your idol, choose carefully.” Seed finished with a smile.

“You...you want me to choose, between Miss Minnie and All Might. I...I can't do that, their both very important to me.” responded Izuku “Life is about sacrifice, Izuku. Make a choose, don't worry, we have time, a lot of time.” Izuku held his head, trying to collect his thoughts “Miss Minnie...All Might, their both such amazing people, I don't want to forget them.”

“And that's not all either, even though you won't remember, you'll be letting the other down. And trust me that will hurt, you will feel an emptiness and pain, and they will now, but be unable to do anything.” responded Seed “Oh, forgot to tell you, since this is all in your head any thought you have. You'll say it out loud, no secrets from me.”

“What do I want, is it One For All?” Izuku asked himself “Do you Izuku?” responded Seed “Do...do I?...” Ba dum “My heart...” Ba dum “What does your heart say?” asked Seed... Ba dum “My heart...” Ba dum “it says...” Ba dum “my...heart...” Ba dum “it...” Ba dum “it doesn't want One For All.”

“All Might gave me the chance to become a hero. He gave me One For All, and all of it's responsibility I'm thankful for that...but part of me, some small place in my heart, it doesn't want One For All. It was the only chance I had, but it doesn't feel right that I had to get power from someone else. I want my own power.” “So you want to forget All Might in trade for your own power.” said Seed “Of course not, All Might is my idol, hes...hes my teacher, my...friend. I don't want to forget that bond.”

“I would give up One For All, it would be a hard decision, and normally I don't think I'd say yes, but if it meant getting a power that's mine, to that, I say yes. But not if it meant forgetting All Might.” “So, you don't want One For All, but you do want to remember all the time you've spent with All Might, the bond that you share. So do you want to give up your power, and your memory of Minnie?” asked Seed.

“NO, I want my own power, one that's mine and I want to remember Minnie, but not at the cost of my time with All Might.” “Come on Izuku, power for memories, that's the deal. The choices are Minnie and your power or All Might and his. Whats your decision?” responded Seed “Power for memories, I have to give up a part of me for this power. If I choose my power I remember Minnie, I'll forget All Might but he'll remember me...maybe that's the best option...but...but...” Izuku fell to his knees “I need help, I can't decide, Miss Minnie, All Might...help.”

Izuku tried his best to focus on Minnie and All Might, on all of his memories of them, to try and find some way of making a decision. He suddenly remembered his dream, that memory from long ago, “Everyone has a wealth of power inside of themselves. Everyone has power inside of them, even me.” Izuku started to laugh “Whats so funny?” asked Seed “I'm, I'm laughing at how stupid I am. This entire time you called it my power, and even I've called mine, but it wasn't in tell now that I realized something.”

“And what is it that you've realized?” Seed asked, Izuku simply smiled and said “I'm keeping my memories of Miss Minnie, and of All Might.” “That isn't one of the options I gave you.” responded Seed “I choose option three, go ahead and take One For All, and then leave. This entire time you've been offering something that's already mine. I'll find a way to unlock that power, on my own, without your help, Seed.”

Seed smiled as he started to shine white “You pass Izuku, but you sure took your sweet time. I'm gonna tell you something, Minnie already took One For All. Now make the best of your power, your life, and what ever may come to it.” Slowly everything around Izuku turned to white.

Preview: Izuku “I'm thankful to All Might for what his done for me, but One For All just isn't mine. It isn't right for me. All I want is to be able to protect everyone, to keep them safe. I could do that for the entire world with One For All, but it isn't my power. I wonder how I'm going to explain this to everyone. How do you explain...somethings...off?”
